In the town of Os de Balaguer, under the Montsec sky, the clearest in Catalonia and unique in the world for observing the stars, at Torrons i Mel Alemany we are dedicated, on the one hand, to source selection, selecting from among the honeys<\/a> of the best beekeepers on the peninsula and, on the other, to the production of turron<\/a> with the traditional recipe from five generations ago; five generations of honey<\/a> and turron<\/a> that have made us the most awarded State company at the Great Taste Awards (2022), the international Oscars of gourmet food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are what we are thanks to honey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Honey<\/a> is our distinguishing trait, the common ingredient that makes our products unique. Tradition in turron<\/a> and innovation in honey<\/a> make up the Alemany Universe, a concept that is inspired by our way of understanding the world. A world founded by one woman, Grandma Mundeta, and mostly occupied by women. A world where people come before machines, and a world where cooking rhythms and times, as well as the implementation of tasks are respected, where cooperation is held up as an esteemed value over competitiveness. The fact is that the Alemany Universe revolves around its values, values \u200b\u200bthat have been passed down from generation to generation from the end of the 19th<\/sup> century to the present day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our passion for honey<\/a> has led us to promote various actions to pollinate public opinion with the idea of \u200b\u200bhoney<\/a> as a natural sweet. For this reason, Ferran Alemany, the manager of the company, advocates the need for a sweeter world and firmly defends the position that, if honey<\/a> was humanity's first sweet - it even appears in cave paintings - there is no doubt that \"we are what we are thanks to honey<\/a>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
